Educational Facility Recover Roofing (KEE System)

Last year, our team completed the installation of a 201,900-square-foot single-ply roofing system for a school in southeast Virginia.

This project involved a full commercial roof recover and system upgrade for a school. The scope required careful coordination, strict safety compliance, and detailed execution to ensure long-term performance and minimal disruption to building operations. The completed system delivers improved durability, drainage performance, and waterproofing reliability.

The scope of work included:

  • Removal of gravel surfacing and surface preparation, including power washing and leveling of irregularities

  • Replacement of compromised insulation identified through infrared scanning and installation of a new tapered insulation system

  • Installation of a fully adhered KEE membrane roofing system

  • Flashing and waterproofing at penetrations, curbs, drains, and expansion joints

  • Installation of roof edge metal, details, and drainage components

  • Coordination, supervision, and quality control to ensure long-term performance

All work was completed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and applicable codes, with daily reporting and photo documentation provided throughout construction. The project was completed on schedule throughout the summer from June to September.
