Institutional Facility Roof Replacement (PVC System)
This was a 157,900-square-foot project in southeast Virginia that involved a full roof replacement for a secure institutional facility, completed in 2024 over a multi-phase construction period. The scope required careful coordination, strict safety protocols, and precise execution to maintain building operations while delivering a long-term, high-performance roofing system.
The scope of work included:
Removal of the existing roofing system and preparation of the roof substrate
Installation of a self-adhered vapor retarder for enhanced moisture control
Installation of a new tapered insulation assembly to improve drainage
Installation of an EverGuard® PVC single-ply roofing system
Replacement of roof edge metal and perimeter detailing
Flashing and waterproofing at penetrations, transitions, and drainage points
